SOTOGRANDE THE FATE OF THE ELITE
Sotogrande is an urbanisation in the municipality of San Roque, Spain. It is the cradle of the most exclusive nautical sports tourism in the south of Spain, considered to be the best private resort in Europe. A residential area so discreet that its beaches seem private.
MARINA
It is the first port in the Mediterranean. The best quality, none is better.
We can leave the car in the car parks and walk to the Marina and it is the ideal place to see the panoramas, where there are dozens of canals that look like a small Venice, boats of all categories are parked, a total of 1382 berths, 1426 luxury homes, designer shops, art galleries and fine restaurants.
SPORTS
Known for itsinternational polo, yacht and elite golf clubs, it manages to combine the glamour of Puerto Banús but with its own distinctive brand of luxury.
It is an ideal place for golfers and a paradise for sailing enthusiasts and certainly for polo players. Foodies will love the restaurants; and shopaholics will have plenty of boutiques at their disposal.
Tennis and paddle tennis courts abound and the resort’s most famous sporting facilities are its polo fields, considered some of the best in Europe, and its golf clubs.
Such as Real Valderrama, considered the first golf course in continental Europe and other clubs in the area: Royal Sotogrande, Reserva de Sotogrande and San Roque.
The Santa María Polo Club has positioned itself as one of the most important polo clubs and its fields have hosted almost 50 editions of the MANSION International Polo Tournament.
Sotogrande is home to nine different golf courses. And among them, Valderrama Club de Golf, which holds the title ofbest course in continental Europe.
The Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande is one of the buildings between sailing boats and luxury yachts. Together with their sailing school they organise several national and international championships and regattas and have hosted the Spanish Cup at cruising level 10 times.
LEISURE AND DAYTIME ACTIVITIES
Now it’s time for the beach, since we are on the coast. Sotogrande has: 17 kilometres of coastline and three Blue Flag beaches and what better than to go to some of its beautifulbeach clubs.
You can hire one of the fun vintage buggies from The Jolly Mile for a great time.
At the end of the extensive trails, we can enjoy our own swimming pools and organise barbecues for friends and elegant dinners.
You can also spend some quality time at the luxurious Trocadero chain, which has comfortable sunbeds by its two magnificent beachfront swimming pools, excellent service, two restaurants and a cocktail bar in every corner.
The glamorous ambience of its facilities is inspired by African lines designed by the decorator Queipo de Llano and has a clientele that is just as select or more so. Being in the world of Trocadero makes you feel special.
Among so much exclusivity and luxury there is a charming detail: the Vaporetto, which is free to use, takes all Sotogrande users by water from one end of the Marina. where you will findthe Ke, an atmospheric seaside café, all the way to the Playa de los Catamaranes, whereGigi’s Beach is located. A wonderful way to see the harbour and the Marina from a different perspective.
