Marbella is a town and municipality in the south of Spain, Marbellais on the shores of the Mediterranean, between Malaga and the Strait of Gibraltar.

    Near Marbella you will find towns and cities to visit during your holidays: at a little more than 60 km, there are several towns on the Costa del Sol that you can find.

    If you like to visit villages in Andalusia, you have two very interesting places, Casares and Mijas Pueblo: the first one is in the direction of Algeciras, just after Estepona. Narrow streets, white buildings, bars and small shops and Mijas Pueblo is even more charming and the views over the Costa del Sol are breathtaking.

    An excursion to Ronda, one of the diamonds of Andalusia. Esta ciudad es una de las más reconocidas por su famosa belleza y sus atractivos históricos, gastronómicos, paisajísticos y culturales.

    Estepona and Fuengirolaare for those who fancy more beaches, more bars, more nightlife. Both cities have a marina and a promenade. In Estepona you find the attractive old town, while in Fuengirola there is the BioParc theme park.

    BenalmádenaIt is in the direction of Málaga, and is a town known for its wide range of leisure activities. There are theme parks such as Selwo Marina or Tivoli World; Puerto Marina, one of the best marinas on the Costa del Sol, and interesting monuments such as the great Buddhist Stupa in the area of Arroyo de la Miel.

    Torremolinos is another place to enjoy the beaches and the sea, you can pass through the beautiful Carihuela area and stop at one of the bodega’s for a glass of Andalusian wine.

    Malagais the capital of the Costa del Sol, you can find the Picasso Museum, the port, the Cathedral, the Alcazaba and the old town. If you like shopping you can find Larios shopping centre and on the way you can stop at Plaza Mayor.

    All these cities that are close to Marbella give you the opportunity to better explore the Costa del Sol. Most of them you can go during the day and travel on your own.

    And if you want to go a little further afield, you can travel to Tarifa, Gibraltar and Nerja are just an hour’s drive from Marbella.
