WHAT IT IS
The golden visa is a type of visa aimed at foreigners who wish to enter Spanish territory to make a significant capital investment.
This visa allows the possibility to live and work in Spain(including your family), without the need to visit the country more than once a year.
REQUIREMENTS
- Residence permit through the purchase of real estate worth €500,000 free of any encumbrances.
- Residence permit through the purchase of 2 million euros of public debt.
- Residence permit through the acquisition of one million euros in shares or stocks, or bank deposits in financial institutions.
- Residence permit through a business project.

TYPES OF VISA
There are two types of permit:
Visa: When the person is outside Spain, he/she will have a permit to reside and work in the national territory.
The duration of this permit is 1 year, after which you must apply for a residence permit.
Once the arras contract is established, a visa or residence permit must be applied for.
Residence permit:When the applicant resides legally in Spain, he/shewill have a 2-year permit to reside and work throughout the national territory.
HOW TO APPLY
The application for the Golden Visa can be made outside or inside Spain.
Outside Spain: You must apply at the consulate of the country of residence.
Within Spain: Applicants who hold an investor visa or are legally resident must apply for investor residence authorisation at the Unit for Large Enterprises and Strategic Collectives (UGE-CE). This presentation automatically extends the applicant’s stay or residence in Spain until the procedure is resolved.
